About me

Born on January 13, 1985 in Ankara, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özhan Çetindağ completed his primary and secondary school education in his hometown. After successfully graduating from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 2010, he began his professional career as a general practitioner in Şereflikoçhisar. In 2011, he passed the Medical Specialist Examination (TUS) and started his specialization in General Surgery.

After completing his specialization at Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 2016, he obtained the title of General Surgery Specialist. From 2016 to 2018, he successfully worked at Izmir Torbalı State Hospital and performed pioneering surgeries including rectal cancer surgery, laparoscopic reflux surgery and breast reduction surgery. His outstanding surgeries gained recognition in national and local media.

From 2018 to 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çetindağ applied his expertise as a general surgery specialist at Izmir Suat Seren Training and Research Hospital. In 2019, he ranked second in Turkey in the Specialist Examination (YDUS) and was given the opportunity to specialize in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. In the same year, he achieved second place in the Turkish Surgical Association Qualifying Examination and received a Certificate of Qualification.

Between 2020 and 2022, Dr. Çetindağ devoted himself to surgical oncology at Ankara University. In addition to his interest in cancer surgery and bariatric surgery, his specialties include breast surgery, thyroid surgery, anal fistula, gastric balloon and gastric botox applications. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çetindağ always strives to pursue innovative approaches in surgery and contributes to the advancement of medical practice through his expertise.

Scientific Publications

Dr. Özhan Çetindağ has 21 scientific articles published in national and international scientific journals. Of these, 14 are international and 7 are national publications. He has also presented 6 scientific papers at national and international congresses and has authored 2 book chapters in academic books published in the field of general surgery.
